G21 Uncaptured Guide Rods Assemble Instruction

Please be careful assembling uncaptured guide rods since the spring can "fly away". Avoid pointing the spring in your face or anything that can break.

Use a small allen or paper clip to hold the spring

install the guide rod assemble into your slide. Make sure that the round part of the guide rod is properly sitted on the barrel. WITHOUT scratching your Slide, Pull the allen wrench/paper clip to release the spring. Again, please be careful not to point this to anything that can break or directly in your face in case the spring flys away.
