Smoke’s carbon fiber hand guards are designed with weight and comfort in mind. The material and shape are optimized to help create some of the lightest, most ergonomic hand guards available.
The properties of the carbon fiber, specifically its low thermal mass combined with its high thermal conductivity, and the pattern in which the material orientation is laid out, creates the most efficient hand guard in terms of heat dissipation. This translates into the shooter being able to comfortably handle the gun after hundreds of rounds have been sent downrange.

WARNING: for assembly with custom or billet upper receivers a custom low profile barrel nut must be used. Please let us know if you have a non-mil spec upper receiver so we can send you the proper mounting hardware.

Overall great handguard
Installed this and the S.C. stock on a thunder ranch reciever set with a gunner profile barrel. Fit And finish is fantastic, build weighs 5.4lbs with a burris 1-6 attatched. I hate only giving ut 4 stars but 1 of the 6 screws that attach to nut threads were messed up and doesnt quite bite and a closer look the forst two threads are so.ewhat conical on that 1 screw alone. All the other are perfect, even in the same hole they all torque down, hard to leave 1 star off for such a small detail but for 300$ these should be the best screws on the face of the planet
